comnum.ofdm_timing_noise(offset, n_fft, guard=0, delays=None, powers=None)#

The power of the intersymbol and intercarrier interference of an FFT window offset samples late (positive) or early (negative) of the end of the guard interval, relative to a subcarrier (Speth et al. 1999, eqs. (30)-(31)).

Parameters:

  • offset (float) – the timing offset (samples).

  • n_fft (int) – the FFT size.

  • guard (int) – the guard interval (samples).

  • delays (array_like) – the delays of the taps (samples).

  • powers (array_like) – their powers (linear, of unit sum).

Returns:

the interference power.

Return type:

float

Raises:

ValueError – for an empty FFT, delays and powers of different lengths, or a negative delay or power.
