comnum.cd_ls_error(taps, fiber, length_km, fs, *, band_hz=None)#

The energy of the error E = (1/2π) ∫ |H(e^{jω}) - e^{jKω²}|² dω of centred dispersion-compensating taps over the band |f| <= band_hz (Eghbali et al. 2014, eq. 6).

Parameters:

  • taps (array_like) – the centred taps (odd in number).

  • fiber (FiberParams) – the fibre.

  • length_km (float) – the length to compensate (km).

  • fs (float) – sampling rate (Hz).

  • band_hz (float | None) – half the band (Hz); None: fs / 2.
