class comnum.OwcIllumination#

The light of a set of emitters carried to the elements of a room (OwcRoom.illuminate).

impulse_responses(position, direction, area_m2, fov_rad, *, filter_gain=1.0, concentrator_index=None)#

The impulse responses at a detector: the line of sight, then each order of reflection, on the same bins.

Parameters:

  • position (array_like) – (3,) the detector (m).

  • direction (array_like) – (3,) its normal.

  • area_m2 (float) – its area (m²).

  • fov_rad (float) – its field of view (rad).

  • filter_gain (float) – the gain of the optical filter.

  • concentrator_index (float | None) – the refractive index of a concentrator of gain n²/sin²Ψ.

Returns:

one response per order, from the line of sight.

Return type:

list[OwcImpulseResponse]

Raises:

ValueError – for an invalid parameter or input (the message names it).
