comnum.linear_fiber_channel(x, fiber, length_km, fs)#

Loss and dispersion of length_km of fibre on a block sampled at fs (OptiCommPy linearFiberChannel).

Parameters:

  • x (array_like) – the field (√W).

  • fiber (FiberParams) – the fibre.

  • length_km (float) – the length (km).

  • fs (float) – sampling rate (Hz).

Returns:

the field at the output (complex128).

Return type:

numpy.ndarray

Raises:
