comnum.clipping_bussgang(ratio_db)

The Bussgang decomposition y = α x + d of clipping at ratio_db above the average power of a complex Gaussian signal (Ochiai & Imai 2002).

Parameters:

ratio_db (float) – the clipping ratio (dB above the average power).

Returns:

gain (α), output_power, distortion (σ_d²), sdr_db.

Return type:

dict

Raises:

ValueError – for an invalid parameter (the message names it).
