comnum.cd_fir_taps(fiber, length_km, fs, n_taps)#

Centred taps of the dispersion compensation of length_km (frequency sampling).

Parameters:

  • fiber (FiberParams) – the fibre.

  • length_km (float) – the length to compensate (km).

  • fs (float) – sampling rate (Hz).

  • n_taps (int) – number of taps (see cd_taps_needed).

Returns:

the taps (complex128).

Return type:

numpy.ndarray

Raises:

ValueError – for a negative count.
