comnum.gain_limited_correction(r, pilot, eps_db)

Pilot-based gain correction limited to eps (Cimini 1985, eq. (16)): r / (max(|p|, ε) e^{j arg p}) for every sample.

Parameters:

• r (array_like) – the received samples.

• pilot (array_like) – the complex envelope given by the pilot.

• eps_db (float) – the limit, an amplitude relative to the RMS gain (dB, 20 log10); -inf for unlimited correction.

Returns:

the corrected samples (complex128).

Return type:

numpy.ndarray

Raises:

ValueError – for an input that is not an array of numbers of the expected shape.
